Agreements and disputes

Agreements and disputes during the development process

Many parties are involved in the development of (for example) a business park; developer, contractors, governments, banks, buyers of the land, tenants of the buildings and so on.
The progress of the development process often depends on agreements between two or even multiple parties. For example, a financing can only be concluded once a rental contract has been concluded. In recent years, NLhave has often represented or advised various parties as negotiator. Often it concerned negotiations that had to be conducted when the process stagnated. Interests are big. This includes transaction supervision of land transactions (purchase and sale), consultation with governments on the integration of plans and taking risk-limiting measures for financing.

If there is an agreement between the parties, then differences of insight can also arise. As a mediator these disputes can then be resolved. Disputes can also be prevented. The parties are advised to include the so-called 'pledge' in their agreements. Read more about this at  RICS website.
